Most Humane Ways to End an Irving Mouse's Life

The Irving mice living in your home will be a nuisance or worst, they can pose a threat to your health. Killing the mice may not be the most humane method that you can think of. However, there are ways to guarantee that the tiny creature will experience the minimum level of pain. Before doing the lethal method we will mention below, make sure that you will check about the local jurisdictions first.

Different Humane Method to Kill the Mice

Various Texas people may define the term ‘humane' differently. By following a distinct principle, you will be able to determine if you are causing the rodent an unnecessary pain or fear. In case your house has been invaded by the mice and you plan to dispose them, be sure to choose the methods that we will recommend.

Gas Chamber

This method has been recommended by different groups and Texas experts. You may simply use the materials that you can find in your house to perform this method. However, it is still advisable to allow the vets and professionals to perform this method. You need to carefully think if you are fully qualified to use this method to avoid causing the creature with unneeded suffering. Start by preparing the important materials such as white vinegar and baking soda that will produce the CO2 gas once you mixed them. You will need hose, plastic containers where the mice will be placed and another container where the baking soda and white vinegar will be mixed.

Dealing a Blunt Force to the Head

Your ultimate goal in doing this is to destroy the brain of the Irving mice using a single and strong trauma to the head using a plank of wood or hammer. Some people may find this emotionally-taxing and a bit overpowering. In case you are not sure that you can't kill the creature with a single blow, then you need to carefully consider your other option. There is a probability that you will cause them more harm. You should never stomp on them or smash them against your wall. You will need to restrict the movement of the rat first before doing this method.

Shooting

When shooting the Texas mice on its head, you should only use a low caliber rifle that is intended to kill small creatures such as rodents. Choosing the high-powered firepower has a higher probability to ricochet and might hurt you. The parts of the mice will also scatter that will make it difficult for you to dispose them. There is also a chance that using firearms is not allowed in your state especially if you are living in a highly populated area.

You need to carefully think about your options before choosing the lethal methods we mentioned here. Remember that the Irving rats will transmit disease, so you will have to wear protective gears before interacting with them. You should also look at your non-lethal option such as doing house modification to prevent the mice from accessing your property.
